Grant Smith is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at American Gene Technologies®. He is an accomplished communications and marketing executive with a rich history of navigating the dynamic landscapes of the biotech and biopharmaceutical industries. Grant's career spans several senior roles within the life sciences sector, where he has consistently demonstrated a keen ability to drive commercial growth, engage key stakeholders, and forge strategic partnerships.
Prior to American Gene Technologies, Grant served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Chief Brand Officer at DoubleRainbow Biosciences, a synthetic biology company that developed novel methods for sustainable API production. He has also previously held global digital, product, and science communication leadership roles at AstraZeneca PLC and Eli Lilly and Company, where he worked cross-functionally to transform technical details into engaging, holistic communications and marketing strategies.
Grant holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) in Policy Analysis and a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs Management from Indiana University's O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
